Linda Vernon ( nee Auen ) Carroll, 71 of Toms River and a longtime resident of Neptune passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Medical Center of Ocean County, Brick Hospital.
Born in Avon by the Sea, she was the office manager of Aqua-Land Pools, Manasquan which was her husband’s business that he ran from 1972 until retiring in 2013. She was a lifetime member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church, Neptune. Linda was the former Treasurer of N.E.A.R. and was a member of the Miniature Clubs.

Linda was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Gary Dennis Carroll on April 5, 2018, and parents Raymond C. and Emily W. (nee Bruton) Auen.
Linda is survived by her devoted children who carry on their legacy of continuing to run the family company, Dennis A. Carroll and wife Anastacia of Neptune City and Robin Duvall and husband Jason of Browns Mills, her 2 brothers Raymond and Kathleen Auen Jr., Craig and Melissa Auen of North Carolina, her sister Michele Auen of Neptune City and her nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

Visitation for Linda and Gary will be on Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Hamilton United Methodist Church, 858 Old Corlies Rd., Neptune, NJ 07753. Please go directly to the Church on Saturday, there will not be a procession from the funeral home.
