Theresa M. Klingner, age 89, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at her home in Lakewood. Born and raised in the Bronx, Theresa moved to Neptune, NJ in 1969 then lived in Tinton Falls and has resided in Lakewood for the past two years.

Mrs. Klingner worked for many years as a Data Coordinator for Fort Monmouth in Eatontown.

Theresa was a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Innocents RC Church and Jersey Shore Medical Center. She was also a member of the Tinton Falls Women’s Senior Club.

She enjoyed playing mahjong, knitting and sewing but most of all loved spending time with her family.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband William John Klingner in 1980 and her brothers Joseph and Robert Steiner.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Theresa Murphy and her husband Eugene of Belmar, Catherine Perry and her husband Lawrence of Toms River, Grace DeSantis of Lakewood, Irene Amspacher of Lakewood and Patricia Arnold of Mansfield, MA; her cousins, Marjorie Robinson and Robbie Gilroy; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick, NJ 08724. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday May 15th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick followed by the interment at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
