Obituary for Edward William Kenmure Jr.

Edward William Kenmure, Jr., 77, of Keyport passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Care One @ King James in Atlantic Highlands. Mr. Kenmure retired in 2010 as a mortgage banker at United Community Mortgage in Keyport. Mr. Kenmure proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 – 1963 and continued his service to his country in the National Guard. During his working career, Ed was a true entrepreneur. He was an accomplished musician and actor in New York City, which enabled him to travel the world and enjoy life to its fullest. He also owned and operated a couple of successful hair salons in Morgantown, West Virginia and Austin, Texas.
Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana he lived in New York City and Austin, TX before moving to Keyport in 2000.
Edward was predeceased by his parent, Edward William Kenmure, Sr. and Lillian Kenmure; and by his brothers, Ricky, Thomas and Ralph Kenmure. Surviving are his sons, Edward William Kenmure, III and his wife, Lucille of Brick, William Adonis of West Palm Beach, FL; sisters, Dorothy Kenmure Johnson of Metairie, LA and Cathy Wilkowski of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Daniella, Ryan, Nicholas and Isabella; and his former wife, Hedy Lamberti.
A memorial visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday 10am at Epiphany RC Church, Brick. Final interment will be conducted privately. Donations may be made in his name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Foundation.
