Obituary for Margaret Puleo (Cerone)

Margaret Puleo (Cerone)
Margaret Cerone Puleo, 103, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Brandywine Senior Living, in Wall, N.J. She was a loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was born in New York City to Pasquale and Maria (Morano) Cerone. She married the love of her life, Frank Puleo, in 1942, and lived in New York until their retirement to Ormond Beach, Fl., in 1971. Margaret worked for many years as a bookkeeper, but her passion in life was feeding and caring for her family. An extra five or six for dinner was a regular feat she faced in her kitchen, and always with a smile.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank, and her daughter Delores. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Berube (Daniel) of Houston, Tx., Patricia Pace (Daniel) of Milan, Italy, and Frances Bellina (Thomas) of Ridgefield, Ct, and her son Paul Puleo (Marijo) of Belmar, N.J. Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Joan Ostrowski, of Port St. Lucie, Fl., and Yolanda Grimaldi of Daytona, Fl., as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the management and staff of Brandywine Senior Living for all the love and care provided to Margaret over the last six years. They treated her as family and we truly appreciate all that was done.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 4-8 P.M. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose Church, Belmar, on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 9:45 A.M. Cremation will take place privately and Margaret’s cremated remains will be placed in the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y., at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to Covenant House, 461 Eighth Ave., New York, NY 10001, or via www.covenanthouse.org, to help shelter and feed homeless children.
