Robert E. Krug, 90, formerly of Point Pleasant passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the NJ Fireman’s Home in Boonton. Mr. Krug retired as Deputy Chief of the Elizabeth Fire Department after many years of dedicated service to the city. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy in both WWII and the Korean War. He was a former member of the Bay Head Shores Property Owners Association and the Point Pleasant Elks #1698.

He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey M. (McCreedy) Krug in 2010; and by his sons, Robert D. Krug in 2013, Thomas J. Krug 1969.

Surviving are his sons, Kenneth F. Krug and his wife, Georgian and Daniel J. Krug and his fiancé, Ellwyn Murphy of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren, Travis, Whitney, Courtney and Ryan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30am on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Sacred Heart RC Church in Bay Head. Final interment will be held privately.

Donations may be made in his name to the St. Jude’s Children Research Foundation.
