Obituary for Ronald Barry "Ronnie" Hicks

Ronald Barry "Ronnie"  Hicks
Ronald Barry Hicks, 78, of Wall died peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Mr. Hicks was a mechanic by trade but was known to be able to fix anything. He dedicated his life to his family, friends and work. Ronnie also enjoyed poker night with the men and trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He loved spending time at the beach treasure hunting with his metal detector in Manasquan, Sea Girt and Spring Lake.
Born in Neptune, he lived his entire life in Asbury Park and Wall Township.
Mr. Hicks lost his father, George Hicks at an early age and was predeceased by his mother, Lois Hicks as well as his brothers, George and Alvin Hicks.
Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years, Harriet (L’Hommedieu) Hicks; son, Seth M. Hicks and his wife, Sherrie of Brielle; daughters, Donna Lee White and her husband, Bruce of Allenwood, and Jill Moore and her husband, Peter of Brielle; 8 grandchildren, Heather and her fiancé, Sebastian, Kayla and her husband, Vincent, Casey, Olivia, Caroline, Jacob, Kiersten and Madison; and a great grandson, Gunnar.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall. Donations may be made in his name to DOORS Inc., a foundation for autistic children, 25 Gibbons Circle, New Brunswick, NJ 08901
