Irene Pizzoli, 90, of Princeton Commons in Brick passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 8, 2018. Mrs. Pizzoli was a bookkeeper at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson for many years until she retired in 1994. She also worked part time at Hap Nightingale Beefsteak in Clifton. She was a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick and was a former member of St. Stephen’ s RC Church in Paterson where she was an active volunteer for church activities such as picnics and Bingo.
Born and raised in Paterson she moved to Brick 15 years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband, William “Bill” Pizzoli, Sr. in 2013; and by her brother, Michael Wieczorek. Surviving is her son, William Pezzollo and his wife, Lorraine of Brick; and grandson, Billy Pezzollo.
Viewing will be on Tuesday from 3-7pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10am on Wednesday at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. Donations may be made in her name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Foundation.
