Obituary for Gloria Monfiletto (Bergonzi)
Gloria Monfiletto, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Meridian Nursing and Rehab in Shrewsbury. Born in New York, Gloria lived in Orange, NJ before moving to Brick where she has resided for the past 25 years.
Mrs. Monfiletto was a communicant of St. Martha’s RC Church in Point Pleasant for many years. She was also a member of the Greenbriar Service Club.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Ernest Monfiletto in 1986 and her daughter MaryAnn Monfiletto.
Surviving are her children, Anthony Monfiletto and his wife Nancy of Albuquerque, NM, Ernest Monfiletto and his wife Judy of New Hope, PA and Angela Piombo and her husband Frank of Verona, NJ; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 1-5 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 25th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martha’s RC Church, Point Pleasant followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
