Maryann Kogut, 83, of Belmar, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Sunnyside Manor, Wall.
Mrs. Kogut was born in New Brunswick to the later Alexander and Mary Repei. She resided in Fords, Woodbridge, and Leisure Village West, Manchester, before moving to Belmar after her husband’s passing. She was a devout Catholic and an avid Woodbridge High School football fan, who will best be remembered as a quiet woman who was devoted to her family.
Mrs. Kogut was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anton, in 2017. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Janice and Robert Kosinski, of Belmar, Anton, Jr. and Melinda Kogut, of Pt. Pleasant, and Christine and Robert Meyers, of Belmar. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Robert Anton and Amye Kosinski, Nicholas Meyers, and Alex Kogut. Mrs. Kogut also leaves her sister, Clara Chmura, and her nieces, Marianne Cole and Susan Ardito.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 8:30-10:30 A.M. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose Church, Belmar, on Friday, at 11 A.M. Cremation will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Kogut’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
