William Earl  "Bill"  Worthley
William Earl Worthley, “Bill“ to everyone who knew and loved him passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Bayshore Rehab Hospital, Holmdel after a brief illness at the age of 52.
Born in Long Branch, he had resided in the Shark River Manor section of Wall Township his entire life. He had worked for UFCW Local # 1262 at several local grocery stores in the Shore area for many years.
He was an avid music fan who loved AC/DC, he was an exceptional athlete growing up in Wall playing baseball, basketball and football. He attended Wall Township High School, was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post # 346, Neptune, and a lifelong member of the Wall United Methodist Church, Spring Lake Heights.
Bill was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Wallace Macpherson and Helen Hunter, and his paternal grandparents Horace and Alice Worthley. He is survived by his devoted parents Earl R. and Marie E. Macpherson Worthley of Wall Twp., his sister Lori Macpherson of Carolina Beach, NC, his 2 brothers Richard Worthley and wife Dawn of New Castle, Del., and Jeffrey Worthley of Wall Twp. , his 2 nieces Nicole and Allyson Worthley, his aunt Cathy Bertole and his God-mother Marge Umstead.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Graveside service will be on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00am at Monmouth Memorial Park, Rt. 66, Tinton Falls. Flowers in memory of Bill would be appreciated.
