Kathleen Chisdak Harnett, 63 of Wall Twp. passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Care One at Wall.
Born in New York, NY, Kathleen had grown up in Wall, graduating from Wall High School and then lived in Bayonne for 22 years before moving back to Wall 9 years ago. She had worked as a Nurse, first at Point Pleasant Hospital and later at Bayonne Hospital for many years before retiring in 2005.
Kathleen lived her life to care for her family and especially her son Michael. She lived her life for Michael, bringing him everywhere from National Competitions for track and field to cooking classes on Wednesday nights. She was also volunteer at the Ladacin Network of Wanamassa.
She was a survivor of breast cancer two times in her life and was very involved in breast cancer awareness and research.
She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Helen Hart Chisdak, her step father James Lonergan, her sister-in-law Arlene Harnett, her mother-in-law Alice Killeen and her husband Paul A. Harnett Jr. in 2012.
Kathleen is survived by her two devoted sons, Paul A. Harnett III of Sea Girt and Michael J. Harnett of Neptune, her sister in law Kathy Russoniello and husband John of Middletown, two nieces Susan Ionno and husband Bruce; Allison Russoniello Duffy and her husband Kevin; three nephews Ricky Popovitch and his wife Beth; Paul Popovitch and his wife Donna; and John Russoniello and his wife Liz, as well as many loving cousins and relatives.
Visitation will be on Weds, July 11, 2018 from 4:00pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 8:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall.
