Obituary for Charles Xavier Russo

Charles Xavier Russo, Sr., 85, formerly of Old Bridge passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Meridian Nursing and Rehab in Brick. Mr. Russo retired as a computer systems Manager at The Home News Newspaper in New Brunswick. He was a devout catholic and communicant of St. Thomas RC Church in Old Bridge. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Thomas Church.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was a lifelong resident of Old Bridge.

Mr. Russo was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary T. Russo in 1994; his sister, Marie; his grandson, David and his granddaughter Tiffany.

Surviving are his children, Charles X. Russo, Jr. and his spouse, Donna of Toms River, Deborah Russo and her spouse, Karen Hanson of Brick, Sandra Oriole of Bayville, Michelle Newton of Toms River, and Maryann Weischadle of Barnegat; sister, Sophie Armine of LI, NY and his brother Michael Russo of LI, NY; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visiting will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, July 26th at 10:15 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Old Bridge. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
