Leonette M. Nuara, 94, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2018.
Born and raised in New York, New York, Leonette moved to Brooklyn and then to Scotch Plains where she began and raised her family. She was a resident of Brick for the last 32 years. Leonette’s greatest joys in life were cooking, knitting and spending time with her cherished family.
Leonette was predeceased by her loving husband Charles G. Nuara, her parents, Leonardo and Leonarda; brothers, Steve and Jack and sisters, Aurella, Anne, and Mary.
Surviving are sister, Louise Muraca; her children Thomas Nuara and his wife Eileen Fetten, Linda Nuara and her companion Tom Petruzelli, Marie Maloney and her husband Gerard, Leonard Nuara and his wife Janet; grandchildren Joey, Julia, Sydney, Luke, Brody, Jennifer, Allison, Meghan, and Paul
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 8AM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Martha’s R.C. Church in Point Pleasant on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Wall, NJ. To send condolences or flowers please visit ww.obrienfuneralhome.com
