Obituary for Rose Marie Donahue (Tyrrell)

Rose Marie Donahue (Tyrrell)
On Friday, August 3rd, Rose Marie Donahue, 100, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Jersey City to James “Big Jim” & Bridget (O’Neill) Tyrrell, Rose was the youngest of 9 siblings; John, James, Lily, Anna, Margaret, Marie, Joe, and Leo. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School and worked her whole life in the business world.

Rose married Dan in 1943 following his return home from Pearl Harbor. They celebrated 66 years of marriage. Rose lived with Danny in her family home at 152 Coles Street and raised their children, Dan and Donna before moving to Spring Lake in 1963. Rose was a woman of tremendous faith and lived a life full of love. She often spoke of her loving daughter, Donna, whom she referred to as her “Angel on Earth”, and always showed how proud she was of Dan Jr.’s accomplishments throughout his time at West Point, Vietnam, and elsewhere.

Rose was pre-deceased by her father and mother, her 8 siblings & their spouses, her son Dan Jr., & her loving husband of 66 years Dan Sr.

Rose is survived by her daughter Donna and her husband Ron Schrader, her grandchildren Erin Moran and husband Tim, and Ron Schrader Jr. and his wife Katie (Mortenson) and her 5 great grandchildren Timmy, Emma Rose, Billy, James, and Samantha.
