Condolence From: Diane & Rick Cambron
Condolence: Donna, Very sorry to hear about your mother. She obviously had a long, wonderful life and a devoted daughter who cared for her, which I am sure contributed to her long life of 100 years. Our sincere condolences to you and your entire family. Diane and Rick

Condolence From: Dorothy Lau
Condolence: Dear Donna and Family I thought the world of Rose and saw her at daily mass for years. She always reminded me of how she thought my father & his brothers were so handsome. One of her sisters was a friend of my Aunt Alice and they used to go the their house on 8th St. Our friend the late Sis Murphy was a good friend of Rose. Rose came to see my mother before she left us.She was so happy for the visit. Your grandmother Tyrell was also a good friend to my Grandmother Kate Lau. I shall miss seeing Rose but know she is in Heaven with so many people that loved her.

Condolence From: Joseph E. Colford III
Condolence: I had the privilege of taking my mother, 99-year-old Catherine Lipsett Colford, to Rose's 100th birthday celebration the Sunday before Palm Sunday at the Spring Lake Golf Club. They had been friends since the early elementary grades at St. Michael's School in Jersey City, some 90-plus years ago. The pictures we took of them holding hands together at that gathering probably were not unlike what they did as first and second-graders marching down the center aisle of St. Michael's while making their First Holy Communion. Rose and Catherine were some of the founding members of an informal social group of young Irish Catholic women from downtown Jersey City they dubbed "The Emeralds," 10 in all, as I recall. Rose' departure from the group leaves Catherine as the sole survivor. Some of my sibs and I took Catherine out to lunch on her 99th birthday. In raising a glass to her, I told her that she owed Rose her own 100th birthday party. Guess Rose will be there in spirit, to be sure. 100 years well lived, Rose. God speed.

Condolence From: Lorie Colford Reilly
Condolence: My mother Catherine Colford (age 99) has been friends with Rose since first grade. They grew up around the corner from each other in downtown Jersey City. They shared many special memories over the years. Mom last saw Rose at her 100th birthday party. Rose was a sweet and kind woman who kept in touch with Mom with phone calls and beautifully handwritten notes. Please accept our deepest condolences on behalf of the Colford family.
