Rosemarie Aramanda, age 71, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at her home in Spring Lake. Born and raised in Perth Amboy, Rosemarie resided in Spring Lake for the past 35 years. Rosemarie was previously a resident of Roseland and Lincroft, NJ.

Rosemarie attended Monmouth College and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education. There she met her future husband, Robert Joseph Aramanda, who she married in 1970. Rosemarie worked as a teacher in Perth Amboy prior to her marriage but after the birth of her son, Christian, she chose to leave her career as an educator to raise and care for her family.

Rosemarie was a communicant of St. Catharine’s RC Church in Spring Lake. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with cherished family and friends and she especially enjoyed taking her great nieces and nephew to the boardwalk in the summer. She took great pride decorating her home and dedicated time to maintaining her plants and flowers. She loved opening her home to family throughout the year and used her creative vision to arrange elegant holiday festivities. In recent years, she managed family businesses Grace Properties, Rose Properties, and Aramanda Realty Corp.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 30 years Robert Joseph Aramanda and her parents James Peter Zavetz and Marie Virginia Reseter Zavetz.

Surviving are her loving son Christian J. Aramanda; her sisters, Joan Ann Mack and husband Kenneth and Virginia Germaine and husband David; her nieces Jennifer Germaine Draney and husband Kevin, Jessica Germaine Rotella and husband Frank; her great nieces and great nephew, Kayla Cristin Draney, Brendan Michael Draney and Lia Marie Rotella; niece Elizabeth Illengwarth McMillon and nephew John J. Illengwarth and great niece Diane Grace Illengwarth and great nephew John Illengwarth Jr. as well as many cousins and treasured friends.

Rosemarie wishes to thank Missy Steele R.N. and Ann Thomas HHA of Grace Hospice for their compassion, thoughtful, and comforting care.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 16th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catharine’s RC Church, Spring Lake followed by the entombment at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
