Obituary for John J. Corino

John J. Corino, 91, of Harleysville, Pa. passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at St. Mary’s Manor, Lansdale, Pa.
Born in Nutley, NJ to the late Salvatore and Anna (nee Samara) Corino, he graduated from Seton Hall University where he attended both the undergraduate and Law School.
His military career began in the Merchant Marines. Once honorably discharged he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Adak, Alaska and eventually Japan during the U.S. Naval occupation. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He is the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal.
John had resided in Short Hills, NJ and Buckingham, PA before moving to Harleysville, Pa. in 2018. His entire professional career revolved around the national and international manufacturing and sales of toys, with his final 20 years at Proll Toy Co., Bloomfield, NJ.
He was a longtime member of the National Arts Club, New York, NY
John is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years Rita (nee Baltaks) Corino, his 2 beloved sons Dr. John J. Corino of Watchung, NJ and Richard A. Corino of Blue Bell, Pa, his two daughters-in-law, Cindy Corino and Kristy Corino, and his 2 cherished grandchildren Brad and Julianna Corino of Blue Bell, Pa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, August 16th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall Township, NJ 07719 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake, NJ 07762. Interment will be at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.
