The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Davenport can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: A loving kind gentleman. Fond memories of your visits to Donegal. My husband John was recalling you loosing your ticket for Donegal’s Ulster final in 1998 & the innovative way of gaining entry. Then our wonderful trip in 1997 to Atlantic City & my big win. It was such a pleasure for us all to meet you again in 2016. Thank you for the fun times we shared. May you RIP Jack. To Anne, Tommy, Anne, Eileen, & families & extended family we offer our deepest sympathy. You are in our thoughts & prayers. X

Condolence From: Bernadette Davenport
Condolence: Jack was one of the best. He was a great son, a wonderful Husband and an even better Father. Everyone looked up to Jack cause he was the most caring and always the quietest. To me and my family he was family and was always there for us when we needed someone. My sister Rose and I would tease Jack often telling him we were the sisters he never had and he would make that "Jack Davenport" face. Deep down inside he loved it and we meant it. Just want you to know my world is a better place because you were in it. Rest easy until we meet again. Always in my heart. Love you Bernadette

Condolence: Jack was one of the kindest men I have ever known. Since our early days in Holy Name School, our teenage days on the football field or congregating with all our friends on Bartel Pritchard Square in Brooklyn, he was always a gentle soul. To Anne and the entire Davenport family, Maureen and I send our deepest condolences. May he spend all eternity in peace with his living God. Rest in peace old friend, God Bless.
