Dennis F. Keenan, 69, of Brick passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mr. Keenan worked in the painting division of General Motors in Linden for 34 years before retiring in 2000. He was a proud member of the United Automobile Workers Union #595 in Linden.
Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Roselle and Linden before moving to Brick 38 years ago.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fenton and Muriel Keenan; and by his sister, Maryann Campbell. Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Florence Keenan; daughter, Patricia Kunkle and her husband, Bret of Bayville; sister, Jayne Kowalski of Edison; granddaughter, Olivia; and 4 nephews.
Visiting will be on Friday from 4-7pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be held 10:30am on Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. Donations may be made in his name to a charity of choice.
