Charlotte Ann (nee Smith) Conford, 92 of Aberdeen and a lifelong resident of Neptune, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Matawan.
Charlotte had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at several local hospitals including Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, Marlboro State Psychiatric Hospital, and most recently at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Born in Asbury Park, she later resided on 7th Ave. in Neptune for most of her life before moving to Aberdeen 17 years ago. She had a loving heart and many passions-- a lifelong member of the Full Gospel Church in Wall Twp., a nurturer to countless animals, and an avid painter. Charlotte was active in animal rights groups and won many local awards for her watercolors.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Ellen (nee McEneny) Smith, her brother, George “Bud” Smith and her first husband, Maurice “Mickey“ Boyar.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jeffrey Conford; her daughter, Ellen Boyar-Chung; her two grandchildren, Jamie and Juliane Chung; and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ 07719.
