Obituary for Anne C. Nitto (Hanlon)

Anne C. (nee Hanlon) Nitto, 85, of Wall Township passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Anne was born in Roselle and had resided in the Jersey Shore area for the past 34 years, primarily in Fairway Mews and Wall Township.
She was a Communicant of St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake and a member of the St. Elizabeth’s Guild. She was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching her children and later grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sports and activities.
Anne was predeceased by her devoted husband of 61 years Robert T. Nitto in 2016, her parents Thomas and Mary (nee Duffy) Hanlon and her siblings Thomas and Bernard Hanlon and Mary Archambault.
She is survived by her beloved children and their spouses, Robert T. Nitto Jr. and wife Susan of South Carolina, Joanne and Richard Roessner of Florida and Catherine and Robert Hart of New Jersey, her dear sister Catherine Hanlon of Wall, NJ, her 8 grandchildren Kristen, Kim, Killian, Robert, Christopher, Paul, Caiti and Jillian and her 8 great grandchildren Payton, Logan, Anthony, Ryker, Zoey, Leyna, Vince, and Jeremiah.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 8:30am to 10:00am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30am at St. Catharine’s RC Church, 215 Essex Ave, Spring Lake. Entombment in St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Way, Memphis, Tenn., 38105 in her memory. Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home on Monday.
