Florence E. Hansen, 98, formerly of Union, NJ and Point Pleasant Beach, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Fountain View Care Center in Lakewood. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Holy Spirit RC Church in Union and St. Peter’s RC Church in Point Pleasant Beach.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, she lived in Union, Point Pleasant Beach and Brick.
Mrs. Hansen was predeceased by her husband, Henry Hansen in 1974; son, Hank Andrew Hansen in 2006; and by her siblings, Joseph, Marie, Dorothy and Eleanor. Surviving is her daughter, Heather Hansen of Englewood, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Rocky, Amy and Hank; as well as 3 great grandchildren, Olen, Solia, and Axel.
Visiting will be from 10am -11am on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be conducted at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at 1pm at Evergreen Cemetery, 1137 N Broad Street, Hillside NJ.
