It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond James Phillips announces his passing on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in Fairhope, AL at the age of 87. Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Joan (nee Leonard) Phillips and his children, Susan (John) Manley and Kathy (Greg) DiPretoro. Raymond will be sorely missed by his Grandchildren- Tara (Jose) dos Santos, Kimberly (Paul) Altero, Matthew Manley and Danielle DiPretoro; as well as his Great Grandchildren- Ferrari & Scarlett Altero & Amelia dos Santos. Raymond was predeceased by his mother Ann (nee Rehill) Phillips & father Edward Phillips of North Bergen, NJ, along with his brothers, Edward & Paul. He is survived by his younger brother Ronald.
Raymond was employed by ADT for 40 years while living in New Jersey. He was fondly known for his warm smile and compassionate spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand & work on projects for family & friends.
A viewing will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road in Brick, NJ on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 9th at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Brick, NJ, followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
