Obituary for Lucy C Alfano (Volanti )
Lucy Alfano nee Volanti, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born and raised in Newark, Lucy lived in Irvington and for the past 16 years has resided in Lakewood.
Mrs. Alfano loved reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching soap operas.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Charles in 1986; her sisters, Mary Zavis and Christina Bereki; and her son-in-law Jack LeCompte.
Surviving are her loving children, Maria LeCompte and Charlie Alfano and his wife Isabella; and her four beloved grandchildren, Emily, Jack, Bella and Vinny and her sister Geraldine Longo.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick with a service being held at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 10:30 a.m. at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
