Starting the business in 1966, Jack has molded O'Brien Funeral Home into one of the most respected Funeral Homes in the state. As a former Marine, Jack brought his attention to detail and unwavering expectations of perfection to not only the funeral home and its employees, but also to the industry as a whole. He is a leader in the community, and can often be seen at local events and fundraisers.

After many years in the Hospitality Industry, Kevin has brought his attention to detail and customer service expertise to O'Brien Funeral Home. Living on-site, Kevin has taken on the challenge of continuing the family business by "jumping in with both feet". A graduate of the Mercer Funeral Service Program, Kevin earned not only Valedictorian, but was also honored as one of the top Funeral Service students in the country. His leadership by example has helped to raise O'Brien Funeral Home to the forefront of the industry.

Born and raised in Wall Township, Lauren graduated from St. Catharine Grammar School and St. Rose High School. Lauren's tenure at the funeral home began over 20 years ago, and after a hiatus to raise her two youngest sons, she returned to our staff in 2014. She has lived in Manasquan for nearly 20 years, and is an active participant in her close-knit community. Her lasting friendships and strong ties to the area make her a welcome sight to so many people who enter the funeral home.

Jeff has been with the O'Brien's since his high school days. As a friend of the O'Brien children, Jeff was exposed to the honorable work and lasting impressions that IS funeral service. After attending mortuary school, Jeff started his career and honed his skills before coming to work at O'Brien Funeral Home in 1996. He is a memorable personality, but more importantly, a trustworthy and devoted individual who always puts others first.

Jeff is a big sports fan (especially soccer), and when not at work can be found with his loving wife Cindy and beautiful daughters, Caroline and Claire.

Although he lives in Secaucus, Bill commutes to O'Brien's to be a part of such an exemplary staff. His comforting and sincere demeanor is very attractive to families, and helps make Bill a wonderful director. By the time families leave, they feel like they have a new member.... Bill.  A stand-out baseball player and graduate of St. Peter's College in Jersey City, Bill went on to McAllister School of Mortuary Science in NYC. His passion for his chosen career helped Bill earn a near-perfect score on his National Board Exam.

Bill and his wife Billie Jo have four children - sons Matthew & Jayson, and daughters Madison & Juliet.

Matt brings a work ethic and attitude to O'Brien Funeral Home that is both enthusiastic and refreshing. Although he may look "young", Matt has been with O'Brien's since he was 18 and has been able to learn and appreciate all that funeral service has to offer. He has experiences that most directors can only hope for, as well as a laundry list of families who sing his praises.

Matt, along with his wife Nicole and son MJ, recently welcomed daughter Emma Rose to their wonderful family. They love to travel, especially with their extended family, and can often be found in the yard, working on their breathtaking landscaping.

Coming to O'Brien Funeral Home after a storied career in the Hudson County Sheriff's Office, Chris brings a stellar work-ethic and attention to detail. He has a great knowledge of all things New Jersey, especially churches and cemeteries. Graduating from the Mercer County College Funeral Service Program, Chris continues to build upon his second career, offering expertise, professionalism, and compassion for all who come to the funeral home.

Chris and his wife Julie live in Wall, and love spending time with their animals.

After experiencing the industry at a young age, Joanna heard her calling and attended The American Academy of Funeral Service in New York City. Her strong family bonds brought her back to the shore area, and thankfully for us, brought her to O'Brien Funeral Home. Her warm spirit, comforting smile and genuine compassion make her a wonderful funeral director.
