Genevieve Aulisi, 83, of Brick passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mrs. Aulisi worked for the State of New Jersey for 25 years before retiring in 1998. She also worked in the Mayor’s Office for many years. She was a communicant of St. Martha’s Church in Point Pleasant. She was an active community member who over the years served on the PTA and the School Board. She loved painting and pizza nights with her friends. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Born and raised in Newark, Mrs. Aulisi has lived in Brick for 57 years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Aulisi in 1983; her parents, Anthony and Mary D’Amato; brother, Anthony D’Amato; and by her sister, Rae Zuppa. Surviving are her sons, Joseph Aulisi and his wife, Dawn of Brick, Anthony and his wife, Donna of Venice Beach, FL; daughters, Carole Williams and her husband, Edward of Odessa, FL, Donna Taub and her husband, Edward of Brick and Andrea Berend of Tampa, FL. She also leaves eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Thursday at St. Martha Church, Point Pleasant. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. Donations may be made in her name to the St. Jude Shrine, 512 W. Saratoga Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
