Obituary for George Gur
George Gur, 90, of Manasquan, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Gur was born and raised in Somerville. He lived in Avenel before moving to Manasquan 34 years ago. He served in the Army before embarking on a career as a Quality Control Inspector with the Food and Drug Administration, from which he retired in 1982. He enjoyed travel, golf, and riding his bicycle.
Mr. Gur is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Leslie Gur and his sisters-in-law Roberta and Kathleen Strunk. He was predeceased by his parents John and Victoria (Marzlack) Gur, and his siblings Edward and Jeannie Gur. He is also survived by his devoted caregivers Erica Grogan, Ed Lee, Cheryl Lukowitz and Phil.
All services were private under the direction of O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall.
