Obituary for Carmine N. DeRiso

Carmine N.  DeRiso
Carmine N. DeRiso, 91, of Brick passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mr. DeRiso retired in 1988 as a union delegate with the New York City Transit Authority in Brooklyn, NY. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1944 – 1946 during WWII. He was a devout catholic and communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY he lived in East Brunswick before moving to Brick in 2006.
Mr. DeRiso was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Antoinette DeRiso; brother, Frank DeRiso; and sisters, Annabelle DeRiso and Nancy Rossi. Surviving is his loving wife of 68 years, Theresa J. DeRiso; sons, Thomas DeRiso and his wife, Maryann of Brick, and John DeRiso and his wife, Cathy of Clark; daughters, Lorraine Muriello and her husband, Richard of East Brunswick and Rosalie Antoniello and her husband, Gino of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, Anthony DeRiso and his wife, Rosalie of Howard Beach, NY; 6 grandchildren, Traci and her husband, Andrew, Adam and his wife, Heather, Eric, Gina, Theresa and Joseph; 2 great grandchildren, Brody and Kiley; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday 10am at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle.
