I cherish my memories of Father Hulbert. When we were living in Milltown, NJ, he was a great friend and mentor. As a newly ordained deacon, he taught and prepared me to celebrate the Mass. Most Wednesday, we spent time 'talking church' and enjoying a bourbon and lunch at a really nice restaurant. He participated in my ordination to the priesthood at Saint Thomas Church in July of 1970. I have so much to be grateful for. His friendship sustained me for a very long time. Jim, rest now in peace and rise in glory.
