Mary Franciose, age 87, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Genesis Health Care in Manahawkin, NJ. Born and raised in Montclair, Mary has resided in Ocean County for the past 25 years.
Mrs. Franciose worked as a realtor for McAvoy Realty in Cedar Grove for many years. Mary took pride being at home raising her two children, Donna and Robert.
Mary and her husband were members of the Italian-American Club in Montclair, NJ. She was an excellent cook and took pride in being able to spoil her family with her talent. Mary was articulate, with a desire for knowledge, an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and knitting but most of all loved spending time with her family.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Nicholas, her sister Francis Redding, her parents Rose and Anthony Fastige and her son in law John Medlin.
Surviving are her daughter Donna Medlin and her son Robert Franciose and his wife Anne; her sister Diane Levine; her brother Anthony Fastige; four grandchildren, Melanie, Jessica, Nicholas and Terri; five great grandchildren, Kaili, Emily, John, Dominic and Noah.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 12-4 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made with love and gratitude to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
