Obituary for Arthur Thomas Potter

Arthur T. Potter, 83, Spring Lake Heights, died Friday, December 22, 2017 of heart failure. Born in New York City, a U. S. Army veteran and graduate of Fordham University he was a long-time employee of ASCAP (American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers). After retiring from ASCAP in 1996, he resided permanently at the Jersey Shore and was an active parishioner at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. He is survived by his brother Raymond and sister Joan Vaughan. In addition, he will be missed by seven nephews and a niece and 25 grandnephews and grandnieces.
Visiting will be Tuesday, from 2-6 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 10:30 AM at St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake, burial will follow in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ. Donations may be made in Arthur’s name to Missionaries of Charity, 114 Ridge Ave., Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
