Nikola Nikolic
Nikola Nikolic, 82, of Lakewood passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood. Mr. Nikolic was a machine operator for Nestle in Freehold for many years before retiring. Prior to coming to the United States he worked as a Jeweler in Paris, France.
Born in Janjevo, Yugoslavia, he later moved in Paris, France where he met the love of his life, Josefa. Together they moved to the United States in 1971 and settled in Matawan. They also lived in Freehold before moving to Lakewood 20 years ago.
He was predeceased by all of his five sisters including one whose godmother was Mother Theresa of Skopje. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Josefa; daughter, Anne Marie Major and her husband, Bartholomew of Howell; and two granddaughters, Sara and Sofia Major.
A memorial service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 between the hours of 12-5pm at the family’s home at 50 Davids Lane, Howell, NJ 07731.
