James Edward  O'Keeffe
James Edward O’Keeffe, age 78, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Brick, NJ. James was born and raised in New York. He proudly served in the United States Army and worked in the printing and graphic arts advertising industry. He and his wife, Margaret, raised their family in Pearl River, NY before moving to Brick, NJ in 1996. James was a devout catholic and a parishioner of St. Dominic’s RC Church.

James was full of life and determination. He was a man of integrity, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He welcomed challenges and there was no such word as “can’t” in his vocabulary. As a result of his optimistic outlook, drive and determination, James accomplished so much. One of his most recent accomplishments was his involvement with the planning and project management of building a gazebo overlooking a lake dedicated to the veterans.

Predeceased by his parents James & Nancy O’Keeffe. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Ann O’Keeffe; his children, James Peter O’Keeffe and his wife Mary Ann, Kevin Patrick O’Keeffe and his wife Kristin, Maureen Ann Devine and her husband Tom and Christine Marie O’Keeffe; his brother Sean Patrick O’Keeffe and his wife Maureen; his sister-in-laws Patsy McHale and Eileen McLaughlin; his eight grandchildren, J.P., Danny, Kiera, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Patricia, Sean and Maura along with many nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.

Viewing will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick, NJ followed by the interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
