Francine A. Malone, 78, of Brick died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Elizabeth she resided in Edison and Point Pleasant before moving to Brick.

She is a graduate of Benedictine Academy, Elizabeth and Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She was an elementary school teacher in Elizabeth before raising her family. She spent the remainder of her career as a travel agent for Vailsburg Travel, Newark and Travel Leaders, Ocean Township.

She was a communicant of St Dominic's Catholic Church, Brick. She enjoyed traveling but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Malone was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Francis A Merlo and Lilian P Merlo and her sister, Patricia Lombardi.

She is survived by her sons; Thomas F Malone lll and his wife Janet, Shrewsbury and Brett F Malone and his wife Yolanda, Morrisville, Pa; her brother, Dr. Francis A. and Kathleen Merlo, Lewes, De; five grandchildren, Jamal, Zoe, Sean, Lilian and Reese; and nieces and nephews, Tara Vigus, John Gibbons and Christian, Colin and Adam Merlo.

Friends may call from 4-8pm Tuesday, April 3 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, April 4 at St Dominic's Catholic Church, Brick. Burial will follow in St Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
