Joseph-John “Joe” Pilz, 62 of Brick passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born in Point Pleasant, he lived in Brick then Point Pleasant Beach for 18 years before moving back to Brick. He was a 1973 graduate of Brick High School and attended Ocean County Community College.
Every story that Joe told got better each time he told it, as well as more exaggerated each time! Joe was a kid at heart with his Lego’s; an artist with his wood projects; and a loving Partner, Son, Brother, Dad, and Pop. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be missed by so many.
Surviving is his loving partner of 17 years, Amanda Allgor; daughters, Bobbi-Jo DiMaria and her husband, Joseph, Jamie-Lynn Jacobs and her husband, John, Cori-Anne Pilz, and Danielle Allgor; sister, Pamela Carley and her husband, Glen; his loving parents, Joseph and Dorothy Pilz; his beloved grandchildren, Mason, Keira, Katana, Connor, Luciano, Antonella, Nitara and Logan; as well as nephews, aunt and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. Final interment will be private. Donations may be made in his name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network www.pancan.org
