Obituary for William M. "Bill" Moeller

William M. "Bill"  Moeller
William M. Moeller, 67, of Point Pleasant Beach, formerly of Morristown passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mr. Moeller was a mechanic for Naylor’s Gulf in Point Pleasant Beach. He also worked as a commercial fisherman on many vessels on the Jersey Shore, including the Felicia in Point Pleasant Beach and the Teri-Kris also in Point Pleasant Beach. He was a former member of the Jersey Iron Motorcycle Club and enjoyed bowling and of course, fishing. In his younger years, he had a passion for ice hockey where excelled to play semi-pro hockey along with his buddy, Jimmy Melchione.
Born in Jersey City he lived in Brick, Seaside Heights and Morristown before moving to Point Pleasant Beach this past year.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen Moeller. Surviving is his longtime partner of 34 years, Sarah A. Whitonis; his sons, William, Christopher and Todd Moeller and his daughter, Lisa; step children, Thomas Whitonis and his partner, Suzanne Duda, the late Kenneth Whitonis and his wife, Heather and their daughter, Marissa, Cynthia Piciullo and her husband, Charles and their children, Brett, Kelly and Carly; brothers, the late Robert Moeller and his wife, the late Mary Jane, Kenneth Moeller and his wife Geri, the late Greg Moeller, sister, Denise Moeller; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved dog, Anubis.
Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:45pm in the funeral home. Final interment will be private.
