Obituary for Patricia "Patty" Weber (Fernandes)

Patricia "Patty" Weber (Fernandes)
Patricia “Patty” Weber, 61, of Howell passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Weber was a registered nurse for the last 29 years. She worked in the oncology department at Ocean Medical Center in Brick up until last year. She graduated 4th in her class at Linden High School, received her bachelor of science degree in education from Rutgers University in Piscataway, Master’s degree in counseling from Kean University in Union and finally became an R.N. after graduating from Muhlenberg Hospital's school of nursing. She finally found her true calling working in the outpatient oncology center where her compassion and patient care skills shined through. She loved her patients and co-workers dearly and was given the Kellogg award for nursing excellence. Patty was an avid reader and sports fan, loved spending time at the beach and long walks and bike rides. Through it all her family was always the most important thing in her life. She was most happy having dinners out with family and friends, spending time with her beloved sons or going to Atlantic City on overnight trips with her husband and best friend. She will be missed tremendously.
Born in Elizabeth, she grew up in Linden and moved to the Ramtown section of Howell in 2000.
Patty was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Rose Fernandes. Surviving is her loving husband of 29 years, Gregory Edward Weber; sons, Gregory Daniel Weber and Ryan Christian Weber both of Howell; brothers, Steven Fernandes and his wife, Carolyn of Brick and Michael Fernandes and his wife, MaryAnn of Howell; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carole and Gregory Weber of Linden; sisters-in-law, Kathy Paglia and her husband, Joseph of Millstone and Patricia Walsh and her husband, Joseph of Linden; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends that gave much needed support throughout this difficult time.
Visiting will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burn Tavern Road, Brick. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday 10am at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick. Final interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Ocean Medical Center Foundation to support cancer care services, 1340 Campus Parkway Suite C4, Wall, NJ 07753
