Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Matthew Osborn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Matthew A "Ro" Osborn

Matthew A. Osborn (Ro), age 43, born on July 8, 1974 passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was a member of Local 7 Tile and Marble Setters Union for 20 years, where he met many great friends. He started every morning at Krauser’s with his coffee crew whom he loved dearly. He loved fishing, music, concerts, his ferrets and a free meal with friends or family.

He is predeceased by his father, Richard L. Osborn, Sr.; both maternal and paternal grandparents, Sgt. Martin L. Schmidt and his wife Elizabeth, Abner D. Osborn and Ruth and Joseph Daly.

Surviving are his mother, Elizabeth A. Osborn; his sister and brother in law Christina and Lloyd LaCross and their two children, Mia and Maddilyn; his brother and sister in law Richard and Barbara Osborn and their three children Delanie, Nicky and Damien all of Point Pleasant; his aunt Laura Schmidt of Point Pleasant; his uncle Martin and wife Dencey Schmidt of Neptune; his Uncle Wayne and wife Karen Osborn of VA; Cousins, Jennifer Schmidt and John Beck, Clym and Lynn Jones and family, Martin Schmidt and family, Keith Schmidt, Meghan McCready and family, Virginia Rappleyea and family and many other extended family and great friends.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation is private.
