The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jean DiVona can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Jean Marie DiVona, age 82, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Jean was a resident of Edison for 25 years, Sea Girt for 10 years before moving to Toms River, where she has resided for the past 17 years.

Jean was a communicant of St Luke's RC Church in Toms River. She was a member of Outreach SAAC, and enjoyed playing bocce, bowling and tap dancing.

She was predeceased by her husband Anthony DiVona, her son Stephan and her brother Joseph Fritzsche.

Surviving are her children, Edward DiVona, Gregory DiVona and his wife Darlene, Carol Ann Monahan and her husband Michael, Christine Reinson and her husband Rodney, daughter in law Carla DiVona, her brother Carl Fritzsche, niece Roseanne Pellegrini, her 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her companion Fred Barako.

Viewing will be held on Friday July 6, 2018 from 4-8 pm at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 7th and 10:30 am at St. Luke's RC Church, Toms River followed by the entombment at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ.
