Margaret Ann O’Keeffe, age 76 passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Brick, NJ. Margaret was born and raised in New York. She started her career teaching in the New York City school system and then transitioned into a full-time mother of four. She and her husband, James, raised their family in Pearl River, NY before moving to Brick, NJ in 1996. Margaret was a devout catholic and a parishioner of St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church. Margaret (Pegs) was a kind and caring woman who sacrificed for her family always putting others first. She enjoyed walking, reading, traveling, bargain shopping and her adventures to Atlantic City. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, loving sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.

She is predeceased by her husband James Edward O’Keeffe, her parents Peter & Catherine Hagan and her brother-in-laws John McHale and Jim McLaughlin.

She is survived by her beloved children, James O’Keeffe and his wife Mary Ann, Kevin O’Keeffe and his wife Kristin, Maureen Devine and her husband Tom and Christine O’Keeffe; her sisters Patsy McHale and Eileen McLaughlin; brother in law Sean O’Keeffe (wife Maureen); her eight grandchildren, J.P., Danny, Kiera, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Patricia, Maura and Sean along with many nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, Brick, NJ followed by the interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
