The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Davenport can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Jack was one of the kindest men I have ever known. Since our early days in Holy Name School, our teenage days on the football field or congregating with all our friends on Bartel Pritchard Square in Brooklyn, he was always a gentle soul. To Anne and the entire Davenport family, Maureen and I send our deepest condolences. May he spend all eternity in peace with his living God. Rest in peace old friend, God Bless.
