The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Redling can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My deepest sympathies to Mr, Redling Family&Friends.... as Mr. Redling embodied all the amazing qualities of the "Greatest Generation." I had the honor of spending time with a true hero of WW2. When I asked how he had the courage to run into battle with the cruelest of enemies, he said," we did what we had to do. I did my job." He was proud of his service a Marine in the Japanese Theater of WWII and shared stories of brotherhood, courage, heroism and Tyrome Power (famous 1940) actor, His patriotism and fighting spirit took him thru the hells of war and what I found most remarkable was his warm, pleasant personality that was infectious and made all of those he met feel special, On behalf of the National World War II Musuem located in New Orleans, we are creating a marble plaque that will honor Marine Redling in our recently developed, " Honor of Heros" Patriot's Club room. There is not a more appropriate place for the recognition of his quiet heroism for the generations to come. We would also like to present the family with an engraved Brick symbolizing his contributions to the "Road to Victory, in conjunction with a featured article on the Quarterly newsletter. We hope this provides some comfort, as he loved his family, and you will be able to pass his legacy on to generations to come. Respectfully, Dot Klock
