Obituary for James J. Mastrian

James J.  Mastrian
James J. Mastrian, 86, of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
Mr. Mastrian was born and raised in Plainfield. He also resided in North Plainfield and Manasquan before moving to Leisure Village West, Manchester, 17 years ago. He was a self-employed engineer and founder of Lenape Equipment Co. He was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks, Manasquan Lodge #2534, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Monica Council #11529. He was also a member of the Leisure Village West Fishing and Farmers Clubs, and an Extraordinary Minister at St. Monica Church.
Mr. Mastrian was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nora Patricia (Coyne), in 2007, his sister, Sister Dorothy Mastrian, S.C., and his son-in-law, Mark Brower. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Sue Mastrian, of Gorham, Me., his son Christopher Mastrian, of Lakewood, and his daughter, Nora Louise Mastrian, of Toms River. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christine Hill and Jim Mastrian, both of Portland, Me., and his sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Ted Siefert, of SC.
All are welcome to attend a memorial Mass at St. Monica Church, Jackson, on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Mastrian’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
